House music grabbed hold of me in the early ’90s, right in the middle of the scene’s explosion of energy. The energy, people, and love that scene generated created friendships that still live on today. That’s where it started for me: DJing underground parties and raves and living inside the sound that shaped that whole era. Vinyl, raw beats, real passion, that was the world I came up in.
I stepped back from behind the decks for a while, but I’ve since found my way back with just as much love for it as ever. I still have a strong respect for the old-school records that built the genre, but I’ve kept an ear out for where house music has gone since. My sets reflect both sides: classic anthems alongside newer material across all house genres, all put together to keep the energy up and people moving.
House music has never really left me, and being back means I get to pass that on to people who understand what the groove and the journey are really about.
